Bahasa utama yang dituturkan di Angola ialah bahasa Portugis, walaupun beberapa bahasa Afrika lain turut diiktiraf di negara ini. Penduduk Angola lebih sedikit daripada 24 juta orang dan anggaran menunjukkan lebih separuh daripadanya beragama Katolik. Mata wang yang digunakan di Angola ialah Kwanza (AOA). Walaupun ekonomi Angola antara yang paling pesat berkembang di dunia, taraf hidup kebanyakan penduduk masih agak rendah akibat pengagihan kekayaan yang tidak seimbang.
