It is situated between 10 \u00b0 2 &#8216;and 11 \u00b0 12&#8217;N. latitude and 60 \u00b0 30 &#8216;- 61 \u00b0 56&#8217; W. longitudes.The country consists of two main islands, Trinidad and Tobago, and 21 smaller islands with a total area of 5.128 sq. Km. According to an official estimate of 2015 the country has a population of 1,349,667 inhabitants.<br \/>\nThe average length of Trinidad island is 80 km and the average width is 59 km. The island of Tobago has a length of 41 km and is 12 km wide at its maximum width.<br \/>\nThe capital is <a href=\"http:\/\/worldclock.com\/north-america\/trinidad-and-tobago\/time-in-port-au-offs\/\">Port-au-offs<\/a> with about 350,000 inhabitants, located in Trinidad.<br \/>\nThe Trinidad was the main island of the former West Indies which was a British colony.
