In most of the United States the clocks go forward on the second Sunday in March and back on the first Sunday in November, at 2:00 a.m. local time. Hawaii and most of Arizona (except the Navajo Nation) stay on standard time all year, as do Puerto Rico, Guam, the US Virgin Islands, American Samoa and the Northern Mariana Islands. The House of Representatives passed the Sunshine Protection Act, which would make daylight saving time permanent, on 14 July 2026, but it has not passed the Senate, so the clock changes continue for now.
