About Athens

Athens is the capital of Greece and one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in Europe, crowned by the Acropolis and the Parthenon. It is the country's political and economic centre, and through the nearby port of Piraeus it is the main gateway for ferries to the Greek islands.
