Berlin is the capital of Germany and the seat of its federal government and parliament. Beyond politics, it is a major centre for start-ups, media and the arts, and its history as a once-divided city draws visitors to the Brandenburg Gate, the remains of the Berlin Wall and its many museums and galleries.
