About Copenhagen

Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark and the largest city in Scandinavia's southern region. It is known for design, cycling, its harbour and the Nyhavn waterfront, and it is a hub for shipping, life sciences and renewable energy. The Øresund Bridge links it directly to Malmö in Sweden.

Copenhagen keeps Central European Time (UTC+1) in winter and Central European Summer Time (UTC+2) in summer, the same as Sweden, Norway and Germany. That means there is no time difference when crossing the bridge to Malmö or travelling on to Oslo or Stockholm. Being fairly far north, the city has short winter days with sunsets well before 4pm around December, and very long summer evenings.
